A centralized hybrid cloud to enhance operations
TMF Group wanted a “one cloud’ solution to create new digital delivery services and integrate them with its existing Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services solutions.
This demanded a trusted partner to help it manage its transformational journey and enable it to create new digital services, leveraging its Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services solutions.
A secure foundation for new digital services
Centrally managed hybrid cloud deployment to meet business needs
TMF Group turned to partner Orange Business to develop a solution that fits with its cloud strategy, giving it the flexibility to innovate while simplifying operations and improving collaborative capabilities.
The best solution for TMF Group was a managed hybrid cloud service for its territories based on Microsoft Azure HCI technology. The hyper-converged clustering solution uses validated hardware to run virtualized workloads. This enables the multinational to run Windows virtual machines in data centers or at the edge using existing tools, processes, and skillsets.
TMF Group wanted to move to a solution that supported its cloud initiative and security needs built around a unified management model.
The multinational wanted a trusted partner to help it manage its transformational journey and ensure its security for the future.
A secure and scalable digital infrastructure to support global business
The multinational needed a flexible, secure, and scalable solution to streamline its operations and support new digital services.
To meet these requirements, Orange Business built and managed Azure Stack HCI cloud service in Brazil, Costa Rica, France, and Singapore with its ecosystem partners Dell Technologies and Microsoft. Orange Cyberdefense provided advanced security capabilities. This solution supports TMF Group’s 11,000 employees in more than 125 offices across 87 jurisdictions.
Hyperconverged infrastructure
The hyper-converged infrastructure connects TMF Group’s on-premises system to Azure for cloud-based services, monitoring, and management.
Azure Stack HCI comprises a cluster of servers running the Azure Stack HCI operating system connected to Azure, monitored and managed via a portal. It allows TMF Group to utilize cloud and on-premises resources, natively monitoring, securing, and backing up to the cloud.
The multinational can run any applications, virtual machines, or container-based workloads in any location with consistent Microsoft Azure experience. Highly complex workloads can be run in VMs and containers in branch offices and edge deployments. Computing at the edge shifts data processing to the edge of the network, closer to systems that require data quickly.
Following the transition to Microsoft Azure Stack HCI (Local) Cloud Platform this has saved a total of 172 Tons CO2e/Year. This has saved the equivalent of :
- Equivalent to removing 37 cars from the road
- Approximately 7,828 trees planted and maintained for a year
- Annual electricity consumption of 38 households
- Saving the emissions from approximately 144 round-trip flight
This approach also had a major impact on the company's own environmental footprint. For example, the company reduced its number of servers from 95 to 57, making 38 servers obsolete, to significantly reduce energy consumption.

A digital infrastructure that inspires trust and confidence
The Orange Business solution meets the multinational's operational needs for a secure, globally distributed, centrally managed system. It has been designed to address new business opportunities and accelerate the innovation of digital services.
Key features of the software-based solution include scalability, centralized management, and high performance for the most demanding workloads, including at the edge. These features satisfy TMF Group’s ability to be more agile and responsive.
The solution will provide a robust foundation for TMF Group’s digital, data, and AI ambitions and sustainability initiatives.
